Justin and Jeremy

Jeremy and Justin first met in January of 2016. Jeremy was visiting Lewisville for the holidays in between his final semesters of law school in Los Angeles, while Justin was living in Carrollton. One night, Jeremy and Justin were both invited by their mutual friend, Megan, to go out to Fry Street in Denton. They both considered staying home that night, but each ultimately decided to go out with their friends, not knowing what was to come. Jeremy describes the moment they first met as love at first sight, even though Justin was a little standoffish at first. Fortunately, Jeremy was very smooth, and it did not take long for Justin to warm up to him. The two spent the rest of the night chatting by themselves and ended up leaving their friends to go to the square to grab a drink. Within a week, Jeremy and Justin went on their first date.

Seven years later, they have not only built a home together, but a life together, as well. Despite how opposite the two are, Justin and Jeremy have managed to bring the best out in each other. Jeremy teaches Justin how to stand up for himself and be more disciplined. Justin helps Jeremy to be spontaneous and to have more patience. They are beyond excited to celebrate their big day with you!

Justin's Version

Jeremy and I love traveling and try to go on one big trip abroad every year. This particular year, Jeremy really wanted to go to London for the launch of the ABBA Voyage concert. However, a trip to London wasn’t exactly in my plans, but, after seeing how excited he was about this concert, I didn’t have the heart to say no. To sweeten the deal, he promised me three things; he would plan everything so I wouldn't have to lift a finger, we would visit my family in Manchester, and finally, we would end our trip in my favorite city in the whole world, Paris. How could I say no to that?

We had such a great time exploring Manchester with my family and London with our two friends, Steve and Katie, who live there. All throughout the week, Jeremy planned fun little surprises for me. After having the time of our lives at the ABBA Voyage concert, the next morning we were off to Paris.

It was supposed to be cold and rainy in Paris, but it turned out to be the most beautiful sunny day. After checking into our hotel, we immediately took an Uber to the Eiffel Tower. We walked around hand in hand enjoying the sights. I was starting to get hungry and asked if we could stop somewhere and get something to eat. Jeremy said he really wanted to show me a bridge, and insisted that we go there first before we eat anything. We walked around in circles trying to find this bridge and I noticed he was texting someone the whole time. It was all very strange. I just knew that we needed to find this bridge before I got hangry!

We finally arrived at the bridge, Pont de Bir-Hakeim, and walked towards the pedestrian overlook, which had incredible views of the Eiffel Tower. In the distance, I could see a beautiful setup with flowers and music playing, but I assumed it was for a bride and groom who were doing a photoshoot on the bridge at the same time. As we approached the pedestrian overlook, a French butler suddenly emerged to greet us, letting me know that this was all for me. Everything that followed was simply perfect.

Jeremy’s Version:

Justin and I first met on January 10, 2016, and I knew right away that he was the one. I also knew from that point that I would propose to Justin 2475 days, 12 hours, 36 minutes later. Fortunately, that gave me just enough time to plan the perfect engagement.

Once the pandemic lockdowns and COVID-related travel restrictions were lifted, I began thinking about the perfect surprise proposal. The details didn’t start coming together until we were at a concert on Valentine’s Day in 2022. At that concert, ABBA music began playing over the loudspeaker prior to the main act coming on stage, which reminded me that ABBA was launching a new virtual concert in London. After a quick search, I saw that ABBA was performing around my birthday that October in London. Traveling abroad has always been stressful for Justin. He made it clear that he did not want to go on any trips this year. After some convincing, he agreed.

In the months leading up to the engagement, I knew that I couldn’t leave anything to chance. A small business in Paris helped me put together the perfect proposal. By the time we boarded our plane to London, everything was set and ready to go. I was expecting to be nervous the whole trip, but
fortunately we were still able to enjoy our time in Manchester with Justin’s family and in London with our friends. By the time we got to Paris, it was the most beautiful (but warm) day. As we searched for the bridge near the Eiffel Tower where everything had been set up in advance, I was not going to let
Justin’s hunger delay the big event. Once we found the pedestrian overlook, a French butler popped out, and I knew that Justin was absolutely surprised and overwhelmed by each and every detail that had been planned for this moment. Everything that followed was simply perfect.
